Step 1
Choosing a wetsuit. Without a suit, you cannot stay in the water for more than an hour, even in summer. The choice of costume depends on where you will be hunting. Its thickness, material and design also depend on this. Particular attention should be paid to the size of the suit. Take your time, try it on properly, do not hesitate to ask a specialist for advice. It is advisable to buy gloves and socks for the suit.
Step 2
Be sure to buy a mask with a fitting. Better to choose a mask with a nose. While trying on, stick it to your face and suck in air, it should be held without the help of hands.
To prevent the mask from sweating, wipe the glass from the inside with a cotton swab moistened with a special tool or a simple toothpaste. After wiping and subsequent washing, the glasses should stop sweating.
Step 3
Tubes are of different types. It is best to take a tube with a mouthpiece, it is quite comfortable. Tubes with exhalation valves are not suitable for spearfishing, as the air passing through the valves creates unnecessary noise that scares the fish.

With the choice of a gun, each hunter determines himself. There are many options for guns: gas, vacuum, spring, crossbows, pneumatic and many others. When choosing a weapon, remember that it must be accurate, powerful and reliable. These characteristics include the most common pneumatic and crossbows. The air gun is more powerful, but less accurate, and also throws it up at the moment of the shot. The crossbow is less powerful, especially in cold water, but more accurate.
Immediately before hunting, it is necessary to check the gun on the shore, pointing the barrel towards the water and without removing the charging handles from the harpoon. The gun can only be loaded in water. It is strictly forbidden to shoot in the air at a tree or other target. The harpoon easily breaks the line and flies 40-80 m along an unpredictable trajectory.

The knife should be chosen lightweight, made of high-quality steel and with a convenient fastening, because various critical situations can happen under water.
