Everyone can learn to embroider, you can develop talent in yourself from early childhood. Successful mastery of the craft depends on the ability to choose the appropriate combinations of colors and techniques, to combine embroidery and fabric into a beautiful picture.
Before you start learning to embroider, consider the threads and fabric you choose. Do they go well with each other, are they pleasing to the eye. Embroidery is not always multi-colored. For example, embroidery with gray and golden threads on a white canvas or another option - blue and white threads on a gray canvas, looks expressive. Embroidery with threads in the color of the fabric looks exquisite - white on white, gray on gray, red on red.
To embroider means to put on the fabric, "draw" additional patterns on it, but to do it with monotonous, strict, repetitive stitches. But the stitches are different: with light stitches, cross stitching is done, with multi-layer stitches, satin stitches with flooring are embroidered. In this case, the stitch technique on one canvas should be the same, the stitches should be similar.
If you are a beginner in the embroidery technique, then you should not start with a surface that requires a lot of experience, skill, patience and endurance. Start comprehending the art with a stalk or chain stitch.
The embroidery combined with the applique looks original. This trick looks elegant on children's clothes. For example, torn pants or mittens can be decorated and given a second life. Any piece of fabric will do for the applique. Make a pattern from a piece of paper, attach it to the original thing, evaluate and act. Sew a cross over the applique. The embroidery applique is ready.
