"Tunisian knitting" is not as popular as knitting or crocheting. The technique is interesting and deserves the attention of needlewomen. At first it may seem that knitting in the Tunisian technique is very difficult. But this is not so, it is worth a little practice and "Tunisian knitting" will seem simple and easy. The advantage of this technique is that the canvas is very thick and warm. It keeps its shape well. Blankets, jackets, coats are knitted in the Tunisian technique.

Long hook or two hooks on a line for Tunisian knitting, yarn
Instructions
Step 1
Crochet 30 stitches.
Step 2
Put the last loop (free loop of the chain) on the hook. Cast on 29 more loops from the chain and put them on the hook (as if on a knitting needle). The hook has 30 loops.
Step 3
Place the thread on the hook. From the crochet you need to form a loop.
Step 4
Pull the yarn over through the first loop on the hook to create a horizontal loop.
Step 5
Make a yarn over and pull out another loop, pull it through the second loop from the hook (as if we were knitting a horizontal loop and a loop from the hook together).
Step 6
Make a yarn over again and draw out another loop, pull it through the third loop from the hook. Inside the loops of the first row, a chain of loops is obtained. We continue to knit to the end of the row.
Step 7
It turns out such a "braid". This is the first row of the canvas.
Step 8
If you look closely, you can see small holes between the vertical hinges.
Step 9
We insert the hook into the hole of the first row and draw out the loop. To knit a different pattern, the hook should be inserted into the loop of the first row (the canvas will look as if it was knitted).
Step 10
We continue to cast loops from the holes of the first row (or loops of the first row).
Step 11
The needle should have 30 stitches.

Repeat step 4-7.
Step 13
We continue to knit the fabric, repeat steps 10-12, steps 4-7.

The result is a canvas that looks like a tapestry. It's thick and tough.
