In winter, bright colors are so lacking. This is an excuse to do something bright with your own hands, something that will cheer you up. For example, mug coasters. They will delight you and your loved ones at any time of the day. Children will love these coasters and will be a nice little gift. It is very easy to make them, no expensive materials are needed.
It is necessary
- Soft felt of red, green, light green, white, black, brown colors.
- Colored threads of red, green, light green, white, brown colors.
- Paper, pencil, scissors, needle, pins.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw patterns and cut them out. The width of the apple is 11 cm, the height is 9 cm. The width of the leaf is 3, 5 cm, the length is 7 cm. The width of the "bite" made of white felt is 4, 5 cm, the height is 4 cm. Caterpillar: length 3 cm., Height 2 cm. Eyes made of white felt: width 1 cm, height 1 cm
Step 2
We pin the paper pattern to the felt and cut out the details of the stand:
Apple-2 pieces;
Leaf-1 piece;
Caterpillar - 1 piece (made of light green felt);
1 x white felt eyes;
Eyes made of black felt-2 pieces (two small circles, can be cut without a paper pattern);
"Bite" of white felt-1 piece.
Peduncle - 1 piece (made of brown felt).
Step 3
You should get the details as in the photo.
Step 4
We embroider veins on a leaf. We embroider the caterpillar's nostrils, mouth, sew on the eyes. First, sew black felt to white with white thread (with one stitch, these will be highlights in the eyes of the caterpillar). Then we sew white felt to the head of the caterpillar.
Step 5
Sew the caterpillar to the white felt of the "bite", then sew it to the apple. From the inside, we sew the stalk to it with red threads. With a green thread, without piercing the felt through and through (carefully insert the needle into the wrong layer), sew the leaf to the apple. There should be no extra seams on its front side.
Step 6
Sew on the second part of the apple from the wrong side. It turns out we have two layers. This is necessary in order to hide the knots and threads that are visible from the seamy side. The stand is ready.
