It is necessary

  • - thick cardboard;
  • - scissors;
  • - woolen yarn;
  • - a needle with a large eye;
  • - pencil and compasses;
  • - 4 beads;
  • - 2 buttons;
  • - drape or felt.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare two pom-poms. Make one yellow and the other striped. To make a yellow pom-pom, first draw its pattern. Draw two circles on the cardboard using a regular compass. Make sure that the outer diameter of the circle is 5.5 centimeters, and the inner one is 1.9 centimeters.

Step 2

Cut out the circles you've drawn, just remember to cut out the inner ring as well. Fold both templates together. Take a thread and start winding patterns. Wrap them gradually, making a row by row. When the hole becomes narrow, pass the thread through the needle and continue winding.

Step 3

Find the templates under the threads and carefully cut the threads exactly above them. Insert the string between the two cartons and tie the pompom tightly several times. Tie on a double knot and pull out the cardboard blank. Trim the resulting pom-pom to give it a round shape.

Step 4

Make a striped pompom in the same way. To do this, first close the template in one layer with brown or black threads, and make the second layer with yellow threads. Alternate layers evenly until you completely wind the pattern. Cut and secure the pompom in the same way as you did before.

Step 5

Using a needle, pull the threads through the pompom until they are on the side of the pompom. Gently connect and secure them together, giving the pom-poms the shape of a bee.

Step 6

Cut out the future wings of the insect from felt or drape. From the threads that connected the head to the body, separate one, insert it into a needle and sew the cut wings to the body. Then, using a needle, pull the remaining threads down through the pompom.

Step 7

String on the resulting strings along the bead - these will be the legs of the toy. Secure the beads with a knot and cut the thread to the desired length. Then cut out the eyes from the drape. For them, choose a material of white or any light color. Sew a black button to the white oval circle and sew the eyes to the bee's head. The nose and mouth can also be cut out of drape or felt.
