Where to place the fern
Find a suitable place for the plant in the room. Since the fern is shade-tolerant, it can be placed on a stand in the room or placed on a shelf. Here the plant will be most comfortable. Some ferns will benefit from bright, but diffused light, so they will feel great near an east or north-facing window.

Watering features
It is necessary to water the plant regularly, not allowing the earthen coma to dry out. The fern is very sensitive to the lack of moisture, the tips of the frond begin to dry, and then all the foliage completely. Dry leaves need to be removed and periodic watering resumed.
In winter, ferns have a dormant period. At this time, watering must be reduced. But the soil in the pot should be moist all the time. In the spring, with the onset of the growth period, watering is gradually increased.
The water should be soft, so it is best to let it stand at room temperature or use rainwater for irrigation.
Ferns do not tolerate the dry air of an apartment, so spray them daily with warm water; on hot days, do this at least 2 times a day, morning and evening.
If you do not have the opportunity to often spray the fern, pour expanded clay into the pan and moisten it, and cover the soil surface in the pot with moist moss. Moisten the expanded clay and moss as it dries.
How to transplant a fern
Prepare your fern substrate. Take 2 parts leaf humus, one part peat, and 2 parts refined sand. For ferns with golden foliage, experts say, you need to add a little rotten bark to the soil.
Since the plant is quite large, then select a pot for it corresponding to its size. Ferns can also be grown in hanging pots and baskets. Place drainage on the bottom of the pot, then a layer of nutrient medium. Place the plant and top up the soil. Water the fern and place in a bright place.
