Candles are able to create coziness and warmth. Watching the flame of a candle, you always feel inner peace and tranquility. Try to make an original candle of your own design, which will perfectly decorate any interior and remind you of pleasant moments.
It is necessary

- - food coloring;
- - instant glue;
- - glass container (no more than 5 cm in diameter);
- - white wick (from a wax candle);
- - gelatin;
- - tannin;
- - glycerin (instead of gelatin, tannin and glycerin, you can use a special ready-made gel for candles);
Instructions
Step 1
Soak gelatin in a 20: 5 ratio (5 parts gelatin, 20 parts water) in cold water for 40 minutes to swell.
Rinse thoroughly and dry the glass. Prepare your flower arrangement. It is best to use flowers that are the same size.
Step 2
Having collected them in a small bunch, place them in a decorative cup, in order to make sure that the bouquet will look beautiful. After that, drop a couple of drops of glue on the bottom of the glass and fix the flower arrangement securely. A sufficient amount of glue must be applied so that the bouquet does not float when pouring the gel.
Step 3
After fixing the flowers, fix the wick by placing it in the center of the glass, not dropping 2-3 cm to the bottom (for safety reasons). To do this, wrap the wick around the pencil, securing it with a clothespin. Place the pencil across the neck of the glass.
Step 4
Prepare the gel. Heat the gelatin solution to completely dissolve the gelatin. Then pour 25 parts of glycerin into it, stirring constantly. Simultaneously with this procedure, dissolve 2 parts of tannin in 10 parts of glycerin, heat a little and mix with the gelatin solution.
Step 5
Bring the mixture to a boil and wait until the cloudy suspension disappears, which disappears with further boiling of the mixture. It should be taken into account that bubbles do not form, the gel should be stirred as little as possible and the temperature of the gel should not be raised above 120 ° C. Since the oil component decomposes when overheated, the gel becomes cloudy and an unpleasant odor appears.
Step 6
Pour the gel into a container with a spout for easier pouring, leaving a little to create a colored gel. Carefully pour the clear gel into the glass, preferably along the wall, covering the entire flower arrangement, leaving 1 cm free to the edge. Set aside for 20-30 minutes to harden.
Step 7
Place the remaining gel on the stove top and add 2 drops of liquid food coloring. Remove from heat after a minute and pour the colored gel into the glass to the top. Leave on for 2 hours to harden completely. Remove the clothespin with a pencil, cut the wick. Gel candles burn odorless, which allows them to be used in the design of a festive table.
