A sprig of raspberries will decorate an embroidered towel, a painted chair, a carved platband. In any case, you first need to draw a sketch, and this is best done with a pencil on paper. To depict a sprig of raspberries, you will need two pencils - hard and soft.
Directions of branches
To start drawing raspberries in stages, draw a straight line. As with any plant, raspberry branches grow in different directions, so arrange the straight line the way you like best. Plants rarely have perfectly straight branches, so it's even better if the line turns out to be a little crooked and knotty. Draw some steep arcs from the main line. They can overlap the main line, move away from it at an angle, and even not touch it at all.
If you are drawing a sketch for embroidery or wood carving, it is better to take a sheet so that a life-size twig fits on it.
Leaves
Examine a raspberry leaf. Determine its shape. Most of all, it resembles a small egg, with one edge wide and the other narrower. Draw such a testicle. Draw the central vein from the sharp end to the blunt end, and from it - the smaller veins, at a slight angle. Five pairs of such veins are enough.
With a few strokes, even smaller veins can be drawn, they are perfectly visible in raspberries. Pay attention to the contour - the leaf is jagged, the main vein ends with a sharp denticle, and more teeth extend from it symmetrically. Draw some more leaves from different angles.
Raspberry leaves are glossy, but the shine is not very bright. It is better to convey it using shading.
Berries
Raspberry is a semi-oval. Most of all, it resembles a "royal cap". Draw several of these "caps", positioning them so that the wider parts touch the arcuate branches - the stalks. Each berry consists of many small balls. They can be seen in whole or in part, depending on the position of the berry in relation to the viewer.
The balls are all the same size. You can draw them with the same hard pencil as everything else. At the junctions of the berries and stalks, draw several sharp, long teeth.
Finishing the drawing
The sketch is ready, now you just need to draw the details. Take a softer pencil and trace the outlines - the main line, the outlines of the leaves and berries. The main branch can even be painted over or filled with long strokes with parallel contour lines.
Draw the veins with a soft pencil too, but with less pressure than the outlines. The circles filling the berries should also be thinner and lighter than the contour lines.
Another way to draw a twig
Like any plant, you can start painting raspberries from individual spots. Add spots for berries and leaves. Draw the berries and leaves themselves in the same way as in the previous method. Draw a thick straight line between the individual elements, and then from it - arcs to the berries and leaves. You can draw strawberries and strawberries in the same way. By the way, a similar task can be offered to a preschool child if he just wants to draw. He will surely enjoy turning oddly shaped spots into berries and leaves.
