The modern market offers many different washcloths, however, the simplicity of the design allows you to create a bathroom attribute yourself. Someone prefers to "find" a washcloth in the garden, growing a loofah, someone, not having a personal plot, takes up a hook and thread. Knitting a washcloth will not only help create a useful attribute, but will also be an excellent platform for practicing hook loops.

Step 1
Before starting the knitting process, choose a crochet hook. If you want the weave to be neat and thin, choose a thin crochet hook. However, in this case, keep in mind that the hook must have a large enough head to knit two threads, otherwise it will tear the thread.

The choice in favor of polypropylene yarn is not accidental. It is abrasion resistant, dries quickly and holds the required volume.

If you are just picking up the hook and the concept of "air loop" is unfamiliar to you, this is not a reason to abandon the idea. For those who understand, it is necessary to clarify that it is such a loop that will become the basis of the future washcloth.
Step 4
Fold two strands together. Make a crochet loop out of them. Chain using chain stitches. Grab a long thread and pull it through the loop. The width of the sponge will depend on the length of the chain. For a product 10 cm wide, a 20 cm chain is required. Having knitted the required length, close the chain into a ring.
Step 5
Tie the resulting ring with single crochets. Put the hook into the loop from the front, grab the working thread, pull it through the loop. This creates two loops on the hook. Grab the working thread and pull it through the loops formed.
Step 6
Knit the columns of the second row in the same way. 3-4 rows will be enough for a washcloth. You can determine the end of the row by the sticking out thread.
Step 7
The shaggy body can be done in two ways. The first method involves knitting without a crochet with pulling the loops. However, the presence of a crochet will speed up the process significantly.
Step 8
For the yarn, put the thread over the hook. Insert it into the loop of the last row, which was knitted without a crochet. Grab the working thread from both sides so that the loop forms on the finger. Pull the thread through the loop and discard the thread from your finger. As a result, four loops are formed on the hook.
Step 9
Crochet the working thread and pull it through the first two stitches. Having performed the actions correctly, two loops should remain on the hook. Again grab the working thread with the crochet hook and pull it through the remaining loops. Having knitted a row, turn the washcloth inside with loops, so it will be more convenient to knit.
Step 10
When the scrubber reaches the desired length, finish off the edge with 3-4 single crochet rows that were used at the very beginning.
Step 11
To form a handle in the first loop of the last row, knit a single crochet, make a chain of air loops and fasten in the middle of the edge of the washcloth. Next, move on to tying the handles. To do this, use single crochet stitches. After finishing the row, knit two or three loops along the edge of the washcloth, thereby strengthening the handle.
