A pillow is a spectacular item that can change the interior of an apartment or a country house. Modern needlework techniques allow you to create a pillow in any existing style. A felted pillow made of 100% wool will not only decorate the interior, but also successfully relieve its owner from headaches.

Step 1
In order to felle a wool pillow for the interior, you will need 100% wool for wet felting in various shades and a little silk or viscose fibers to match. Prepare a pattern for the pillow, taking into account the reduction in size of the model during felting. Felting wool shrinks by 30-40%. Cut the pattern out of the bubble wrap. Tear off thin strands from a skein of wool, lay them on the pattern.
Lay the first layer in parallel strands. Followed by another layer and so on until the very end. The strands should protrude 2 cm beyond the pattern in the lower and upper parts. Lay the second layer perpendicular to the lower one. The wool fibers should protrude past the edges of the pattern to the left and right. Moisten the coat with soap and water and place a bubble wrap on top. Go through with a vibrating grinder. Remove the bumpy wrap and decorate with silk and viscose fibers. Moisten the wool a little again and work with a vibrating sander through the pimpled film.
Step 2
After that, remove the film and bend the lower fibers protruding from the pattern upward. Then flip the workpiece over to the other side, fold the top and side protruding fibers to that side. Then lay the fibers in rows according to the first side pattern and follow the same procedure.
Then cover with bubble wrap, roll into a tube and roll it around the table about 50 times. Then turn around and roll in the other direction. As soon as the wool pillow starts to fall off, remove the pattern and continue rolling without it.
Step 3
Then rinse the felted pillow in hot running water and gently, without squeezing, get rid of excess moisture and continue rolling. This must be done several times. Once the felted pillow is reduced by 30-40%, rinse it well and dry it on a towel. Place it on a pillow of the correct size. Sew at the bottom or insert the zipper.
