First, make a sketch of your future product, and then make a wax mold according to this sketch. Decide for yourself which method of waxing you will use, how you will cast the shape, and which metal pouring system to use. Apply the ceramic mixture around the mold with the gating system, which will then go to the kiln for several hours at a temperature of 850 degrees. In the furnace, the moldable mixture is sintered and a rigid heat-resistant mold is formed, while the wax is melted and hollow spaces are formed for subsequent pouring of the metal. Only after this stage proceed to pouring the metal into the ceramic mold.
Step 4
Pour the metal into the mold, wait for it to cool completely, and break the mold. Remove the molded product from it. After that, clean the product from the molding sand, cut it off the gating system and proceed to artistic processing. At this stage, grinding, chasing and other operations take place, which restore the original, that is, conceived by the author, type of figurine.
Step 5
Finally, chemistry the bronze model. To do this, cover it with an acidic solution - patina. It gives the product a shimmery shine and protects against the natural oxidation process of the metal. In addition, the patina can be of different colors. In this regard, you can create an absolutely unique, exclusive product.
