In order to successfully grow a tangerine tree, you must carefully choose a place for the plant. Properly arranged lighting will have an extremely beneficial effect on the plant.
Indoor tangerine needs good lighting with the addition of direct sunlight. If there is not enough light, the plant can slow down growth, the number of flowers is very small, if any. With a strong lack of light in the indoor tangerine, the leaves fade, the emerging shoots are stretched, they look painful and very thin. It is better to grow tangerines in the south, southeast, east window, providing protection from the direct rays of the midday sun, which in large quantities are not particularly useful for the plant. When summer comes, the plant can often be taken out into the fresh air, for example, on the balcony - this will benefit it.
In winter, when the daylight hours are short, it is better to expose the plant in a well-lit place where there is direct sunlight. But even this, taking into account the dim winter sun, may not be enough - artificial lighting will be needed. A simple phyto-light bulb is suitable, which is screwed into a table lamp or even into a chandelier. The plant should be transferred to the supplementary lighting mode gradually. If you drastically change the length of daylight hours, it will not feel very good and may even shed its leaves.
In summer, indoor tangerine feels great at a temperature of +25 degrees. During the period of budding and flowering, it is calmer at +20 degrees. In winter, tangerine can be kept at +5, +10 degrees to ensure rest - so the plant will rest over the winter, so that in the spring it can begin flowering and fruiting with renewed vigor.
