The color and cut of a dress for dancing affects not only the convenience of the dancer's movements and her silhouette, but often becomes a criterion for judges and subjective perception. Therefore, you need to prepare for sewing a dress with the utmost care and not shackle your imagination.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw a sketch of the dress in all details: color, arrangement of decorative elements, sleeve length, neckline shape and the rest. Consider the direction of the dance. The genre is dictated by the traditions of the country in which the dance appeared, which means that the length of the skirt, splendor or narrowness and other elements of the cut are strictly regulated. Check out other dance dresses in this style for reference.
Step 2
From the sketch, make the details of the cut on paper. Calculate the sizes for the future dancer. It is possible that for each element there will be two parts, for example, the main fabric and the mesh. You can add waves to the hem using a wire sewn into the stitching along the edge. It is better to sew the fringe together with decorative elements.
Step 3
Cut out the cut, attach to the fabric, overcast and cut with allowance for seams.
Step 4
Sweep the details and fastening together. Try it on a dancer. If everything is in order, sew the seams by turning the dress inside out.
Step 5
Iron the dress. Attach the rhinestones with special glue. Decorate other decorative elements: appliques, ribbons, embroidery.
