The poncho is again at the peak of its popularity. In order not to freeze, you can sew it from a coat fabric. For summer, a product made of silk, crepe satin is suitable. Even an ordinary flared sun skirt can be quickly turned into an extravagant outfit.

Step 1
The garment, which owes its appearance to the Indians, is flaunting women of fashion all over the world. If you are invited to visit, you want to show off something new there, and there is not enough time, then sew yourself a poncho.
Step 2
The first way. Determine the length of the future product. Measure from the point where your neck meets your shoulder to where the poncho will end. Set this value aside on the fabric. Fold it in half, then in half again. You will get a square, the side of which is equal to the length of the product. Cut off the excess (do not take this piece far away). Make a cutout. In the first case, it will be simple. Measure the volume of your head. Divide the resulting figure by 4. Let's say you get 14 cm. Set aside the resulting value on a soft centimeter tape.
Step 3
Turn the fabric towards you with the center corner. This is where the neckline will be. This angle is easy to determine - both sides of the square, adjacent to it, consist of a folded canvas, while all 4 pieces of fabric will be visible on the others. Place the centimeter over your chosen corner in a semicircle. Draw this line and cut out a semicircular triangle.
Step 4
Take a bias tape or cut a strip 1, 5 cm wide from the same fabric, and a length equal to the volume of the head. Process the neckline by stitching the tape first to the front side, then twisting it out and stitching it to the wrong side.
Step 5
The second way is to design the neckline in the form of a collar-collar. It is suitable for easily draped fabrics. For him, you need to make a cutout not the same as the volume of the head, but 15-17 cm more. Remember the resulting figure. Take the piece of fabric left over after turning the rectangle into a square. Set aside this figure on it, and make the height of the "clamp" arbitrary. If the fabric is plastic, it can be 70-90 cm. Sew the collar to the neckline.
Step 6
You can leave the bottom of the poncho like this or cut the corners to make it round. Hem it with a bias tape or a strip of fabric. Stitch the square version to the edge.
Step 7
Wear your own poncho in different ways. Wear it like this or tie a belt, the outfit will look different.
Step 8
In much the same way, turn a flared sun skirt into a fashion item. Rip off the belt. Take a fabric that matches the color. Cut the trim out of it diagonally, turn over the cutout, and the new thing is ready. You can use this auxiliary fabric to make a cowl collar as in the previous model.
