Garik Kharlamov carefully hides his personal life from prying eyes - fans and journalists. But even such secrecy does not guarantee him protection from scammers and various unpleasant situations.
Recently, Internet scammers have increasingly chosen the most popular stars as their victims. So, recently, Anfisa Chekhova, Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, Dima Bilan and Polina Gagarina suffered from their actions. Now the famous comedian Garik Kharlamov has suffered the same fate. True, it is not yet clear what consequences the unpleasant scam will have for him.
Prize - a car, money or a metropolitan apartment
In the case of the Comedy Club resident, the swindlers have chosen a very unusual way of making money. A page appeared on Instagram, where "prizes from the humorist Garik Kharlamov" are raffled off. At first, it had only a couple of dozen subscribers, but gradually people began to appear.
On the page it was proposed to pass a simple survey and receive a prize based on its results. It was promised that someone will get sums of money of different sizes, and the most successful subscribers will be able to pick up a brand new car or even a comfortable metropolitan apartment. Everything is completely free and free of charge. True, more detailed information about the prizes was not published in the microblog. But this did not diminish the interest in it from users.
To pass that “generous” survey, you had to click on the proposed third-party link and go to the page outside of Instragram. One of the conditions for participating in the drawing of money was also a subscription to a profile.
How many rooms are there in the apartment?
When the number of subscribers went over several hundred, the comedian himself found out about the suspicious page. One of Garik's fans decided to ask him for detailed information about the prizes in private messages. The girl found the official page of the comedian on Instagram and asked him on Direct about the number of rooms in the apartment being played out. Of course, Kharlamov immediately tried to find out from the subscriber the details of that very rally. So Garik discovered the scammers. The interlocutor quickly sent her idol a link to the page that interested her.
The comedian immediately posted a warning to fans on his microblog, urging them to ignore scammers and any outside public / microblogging / any page that promises expensive prizes in a couple of clicks. Garik wrote: “This is a deception! More scammers are trying to make money on my name. Don't get fooled!"
Are there any victims?
It is not yet clear what consequences the scam organized by unknown persons will have for the most popular comedian. To date, Kharlamov is trying to find out whether any of his subscribers followed the proposed link and to what result it led. There are several versions of the possible outcome of such a draw at once. The most negative of them is the withdrawal of personal funds from the mobile phone account or further attempts by fraudsters to get the details of his bank card from a person, ostensibly to transfer the money earned for completing the survey.
Some subscribers of the comedian and even his comrades reacted to the incident with humor. Many wrote to Garik that an organized scam is a clear hint: it's time for the artist himself to play a car or other valuable prize among subscribers. Previously, such actions (unlike many of his colleagues) have never been organized by the humorist.
Some even commented on Kharlamov's post with a warning about deception with joking remarks: “No need to excuse yourself now. I promised money, we signed up and are waiting for the promised prize!:)”,“And I participate. Garik will not say nonsense. He said that he would give money, so he would give it!”.
It is not yet clear whether Kharlamov will contact the police because of what happened. But the comedian promised that he would definitely deal with this unpleasant situation and try to punish all those guilty of deception.
