An original soft pouf made with your own hands from juice cans can serve as a convenient structure in the hallway for changing shoes or as a footrest.
It is necessary
- - 45 cm of floral fabric;
- - 45 cm striped fabric;
- - thin batting (for side lining);
- - thick polyester (for the top);
- - 135 cm tassel fringes and decorative top;
- - 7 large juice cans;
- - E-6000 glue;
- - fabric glue;
- - cardboard circle with a diameter of 35 cm;
- - can-opener;
- - tracing paper
Instructions
Step 1
The dimensions of the finished pouf are 20 * 35 cm. Carefully open the cans - so that 2 holes are formed in the lid, leave the lid without cutting.
Step 2
Pour the contents out of the jars, rinse and dry. Arrange the cans according to the diagram, glue them with E-6000 superglue.
Step 3
Leave the piece to stand overnight to dry the glue. Trace the outlines of the top of the cans on the cardboard, cut out the resulting template - this will be the bottom of the pouf.
Step 4
Transfer the template to tracing paper, adding 5 cm to the seams. Next, use a pattern to cut the top and bottom panels out of floral fabric, batting and polyester.
Step 5
Cut out the side panels from striped fabric and batting, one strip each measuring 22.5 * 120 cm.
Step 6
Cover the pouf with fabric glue. Glue the batting lining on top of the jars.
Step 7
Fold over the extra edges of the batting, glue tightly to the sides of the cans.
Step 8
Align the top edges, smooth out the batting on the side walls of the cans, and glue to the bottom.
Step 9
Glue one floral panel on top. Cover the sides of the pouf with a striped panel, tucking the edges over and attaching to the bottom of the cans.
Step 10
Place the remaining flower panel in the center of the cardboard backing and glue it. Cut off the excess edges of the fabric, glue the cardboard with the fabric to the bottom of the cans.
Step 11
Decorate the upper edges of the pouf with tassel fringes, secured with glue.
