Preparation of materials and product cutting

To create a plush toy you will need:

- fabric in two colors;

- filler - holofiber;

- woolen threads for the mane and tail;

- buttons;

- paper;

- scissors;

- beads;

- pins;

- a bar of soap or a pencil.

Print the templates on a printer, cut out and transfer to a fabric folded in half. One template is used for the legs, but 4 identical patterns are required for cutting.

Assembling the toy

Before starting cutting, sew all the details and a dart on the head of the future toy. Leaving a small allowance, cut out the details. Make small cuts along the seam allowance in the places of the curvatures.

Turn the resulting parts inside out and fill with holofiber. The advantage of the filler is that even after washing it keeps its shape perfectly and does not get lost. Too much holofiber will make the horse stiff, so don't overdo it. Sew up the holes formed after placing the filler with a blind seam.

Attach the horse's legs with buttons. Button stitches can be made to match the base material or in a contrasting color.

What a horse without a mane and tail! Take a small rectangular piece of cardboard and wind the prepared woolen thread. Determine the width of the cardboard base with the required length of the mane. Use scissors to cut the wound threads on one side. Spread the threads on a piece of paper and sew. Gently remove the piece of paper and sew the connected threads onto the horse's head along the seam.

For the tail, you can take a wider cardboard base. Wrap the woolen threads in the same way, but do not cut them. Remove the threads from the cardboard sheet and tie, making the shape of a tassel. Fasten the end of the thread firmly, and sew the tail to the horse.

At the end, the ears of the toy are attached. Use fabrics of different colors to cut them. For the inside, a lighter shade or contrasting material is suitable, a toy will turn out to be fun if its ears are in a cage or small polka dots. Iron the stitched and cut out parts and fold the lower edge of the parts inward. Sew on the ears with a blind stitch.

To "liven up" the black one, sew on beady eyes or glue on plastic parts. If opting for plastic eyes, apply glue directly to the inside and press firmly against the fabric. Use a small amount of glue, otherwise the protruding glue will ruin your toy.
