Polymer plastics have many uses. One of them is the creation of handmade dolls. The properties of plastic allow you to carefully work out the small details of the face, hands and other parts of the body. Since it comes in a variety of skin tones, you can find the most appropriate color for your doll.

It is necessary

  • - Polymer plastic;
  • - stack;
  • - foil;
  • - wire;
  • - doll eyes.

Instructions

Step 1

Before you start sculpting the doll, determine its size. Note that for a large doll, it may be necessary to pre-create a wire frame. Prepare the foil. It allows you to save polymer plastic. Roll up a foil ball. It should be slightly smaller than the doll's head. Using a tool with a rounded tip that is suitable for the size, make two holes in the place of the future eyes. Place the doll's eyes in them. Glass or plastic blanks are used as eyes.

Step 2

Take a piece of plastic and knead it in your hands. When the material becomes plastic, make two cakes out of it and paste over the foil blank with them. Roll your head in your palms. This will make the joints of the cakes invisible. At the moment, the doll's eyes are under a layer of plastic.

Step 3

Carefully remove the plastic from the part of the eyes that should be visible. The excess material can be used to shape the eyebrows. Use your finger to smooth the uneven surface around the eyes. After that, roll four small bundles out of polymer clay. They will serve the doll for centuries. Put them on the top and bottom of the eyes. Smooth the joints of the parts with a stack.

Step 4

Cut off some plastic for the doll's nose. Form a drop out of it. Apply it to your head so that the top of the drop is at the level of the edge of the upper eyelids. Shape your nose with a stack. Use a rounded tool to work through the nostrils. The larger you make the doll's nostrils, the larger the nose wings will be.

Step 5

The lips are created in the likeness of the eyelids. Two tourniquets are applied to the mouth area and then smoothed to the base with the blunt end of the instrument. Since it is inconvenient to work with both harnesses at the same time, first completely shape the upper lip, and then the lower one. By lifting the corners of the mouth and deepening the dimples, you can get a charming smile on the doll's face.

Step 6

Set aside the finished head for a while and work on the doll's body. Take a large piece of plastic and make it oblong. Pulling out the plastic little by little, shape the doll's neck. Then, thin the area where the waist will be. The protruding parts of the doll's figure can be made from additional pieces of plastic. Glue them to the desired places and smooth them with a tool. Place your head on the doll's neck and smear the joints.

Step 7

Prepare four elongated blanks for the arms and legs. While working on them, pay attention to the natural curves inherent in human limbs. The hands can be made in two ways. The first option is to completely shape them from plastic. In this case, the fingers and palm will be one. Or, first, make a wire frame and then wrap it in plastic. The doll's feet can be made in the same way.
