Instructions
Step 1
The variety of accessories that can be made from this wonderful material is limited only by the flight of your imagination. All kinds of jewelry, beads, earrings, brooches, rings, key rings and many other things can be molded from plastic. It is convenient to have a box with polymer clay with you during any trips or travel, for example, if you are going to the country. After all, sometimes there are times when there is nothing to do during the rain or on a hot afternoon. With the help of this material, you will spend interesting minutes, and maybe hours.
Step 2
Plastics can be purchased at any art salon in your city. In addition, before you start working with this wonderful material, it is worth acquiring the necessary special tools. Although, when sculpting from clay, you can use any available means, for example, using toothpicks, it is easy to make holes for beads.
Step 3
There are a variety of techniques that can be used to create different pieces of jewelry. However, most of them are mixing of two or more colors. An unusual texture can be given with different materials, for example, by rolling the parts in coarse salt, and then washing it off after firing. Beautiful color combinations can be obtained by putting pieces of plastic on top of each other in layers, then roll them into a roll. If you cut it into pieces, then a nice pattern is obtained on the cut. Press the resulting roll onto a flat surface and shape.
Step 4
Having made the required number of beads, stick a toothpick into each of them, and put the parts to bake in the oven. Please note that the plastic is baked at 130 ° C. During this procedure, be very careful about the temperature, otherwise the plastic may start to burn, giving off a pungent odor. Then let the product cool down, remove the toothpicks from the beads, if necessary, you can paint them with acrylic paints. It remains to string the beads on a thread or fishing line and attach the clasp. Voila! In just half an hour, you have created an exclusive piece of jewelry for yourself.
