Today you will draw a Chinese dragon, but first, let's figure out who it is. This is a mythical creature with a snake body, moreover, curved, and the head of a standard fire-breathing dragon. If you strive to join the beautiful, and dream of creating something unusual on paper, then stock up on paper and pencil and get started.
Instructions
Step 1
To draw a Chinese dragon, start with the torso. Do not be surprised. This is the main part and you should designate it from the very beginning. Draw such a curved line, perhaps even with a loop or a few curls, that will serve as a guide for the subsequent processing of the snake-like body line. Now draw a circle at the end of the line you choose for the corresponding purpose. And immediately get down to the position of the eyes, mouth, and so on. Draw a rectangle at the top of the circle. This will be the eye area. Draw a small rectangle to the bottom of the circle, approximately equal to the area of the eyes. It will touch the circle with the smaller side and will become the basis of the mouth, or rather the lower jaw of the Chinese dragon.
You have prepared the basics and move on to sketching the body of the creature.
Step 2
Draw a second line absolutely parallel to the main body line, departing from the first by the thickness of the dragon's body. Taper it to the first so that the tail is pointed. Determine it yourself. Place accents in the areas of curls and bends - small short lines (2 to 4 cm), in the middle of the body.
Step 3
Choose places for the arms and legs on the dragon's body. Draw a circle at the attachments to the body and at the joint of the hand or foot. Connect these circles with straight guide lines that will guide the growth of the limbs.
Step 4
Draw the mane. It will start from the center line of the head. The halo is drawn in wavy lines, eventually resembling tongues of flame.
Step 5
You have mastered the basis for the Chinese dragon, now we turn to correctional and decorative measures. Begin to round off the lines on the limbs, also emphasizing the curves with small, straight lines. From the circle of the joint, draw four elongated rectangles that will become the fingers. Adjust them to length. Round your fingers and add claws.
Step 6
Move on to the muzzle. Draw the eyes in the upper area and teeth in the lower area. Correct the edges and round off all the lines. Correct the mane and erase all the auxiliary lines.
Congratulations on your first Chinese dragon!
