Lovers will need the ability to knit mesh fabrics according to the old fishing patterns. At home, you can make a variety of products - from legal tackles (basting, lifts, cages, sacks, etc.) to good old bags - "avosek" and original design items.

Instructions
Step 1
Find the right thread for knitting your net - the same thickness, strong and elastic. Depending on your idea, they can be linen, cotton, silk. You can visit a shop for fishermen and buy spools of special fishing thread made of nylon (like "Petrokanat" or Osttex).
Step 2
Draw the outline of the mesh fabric. It will consist of intersecting threads that are held together by knots. Each cell has a quadrangular shape. Choose the number of components in each row individually, depending on the size of the product.
Step 3
Prepare a shuttle - a long, flat needle that will help you place the working thread correctly and tie the knots. The tool is approximately 3 cm wide and 20 cm long. If you do not find this tool in a fishing store, you can saw it out of a sheet of thin, durable plastic. Draw the shuttle eye with a marker and cut it out with a chisel.
Step 4
Make a template for the cells - a plastic or wooden plate 10-12 cm long. The finished mesh loops will fit on it like a knitting needle. The length of one turn of the working thread around the template will be equal to twice the size of the mesh of the mesh fabric.
Step 5
You can start knitting a net using an auxiliary cord. Make a small loop at the end of the thread to fit the hook. Insert the cord into it and tie the ends into a ring (first knot).
Step 6
Hang the resulting large loop on a support (hook, nail) and start sequentially tightening the knots. You will repeat these operations many times - tie the lower one to the upper row of the canvas cells, etc.
Step 7
Thread the sewing thread over the template and pass the hook through the loop of the cord. Pull the plate to the first knot and tighten the next. Proceed in this sequence: grab the last 2 threads that stretch up; pinch them on the edge of the template with your middle and thumb; draw the thread from under your thumb to your index finger.
Step 8
You have a loop. Pass the shuttle through it (it will pass over the thread on the index finger); tighten the knot on the top edge of the plate. On one side of the new knot will be a thumb, on the other - a middle finger. Follow this pattern for the first row. When 5-6 loops are formed on the plate, discard them from the left edge and continue working.
Step 9
Tie the required number of loops, according to the width of the future product. After that, remove the lace from the support and unfold the mesh fabric. Remove the template and proceed with the next row. Move from left to right. Continue to weave the net until you get the right length.
