Step 1
You can sew a women's gypsy skirt without a pattern. Measure the circumference of your hips, multiply this value by 2 - this is the width of the skirt. This thing has to be long. Measure from waist to mid-ankle, add 5 cm (2 for hem, 3 for hem). Cut the fabric to these measurements. Stitch the side seam, hem the bottom of the skirt on your hands.
Step 2
Stitch the top by bending the fabric 3 cm to the wrong side. At the same time, fold the edge again by 1 cm, the stitch width is 2 cm. Leave 1 cm unsewn, thread an elastic band through this hole.
Step 3
You can sew the skirt in another way. Fold the fabric in four. Measure your waist - this is the length of the arc. Using an easy mathematical formula, determine the radius of the circle. To do this, divide the length of the arc by 2 Pi, in other words, by 2x3, 14, that is, by 6, 28. Divide the resulting figure in half, since there will be 2 panels.
Step 4
Place the beginning of the centimeter at the corner of the fabric. Keep it that way. With your other hand, take a thin crayon and a centimeter, attach them to where the mark of the resulting radius is. Guide the chalk from one to the other of the sides of the canvas, which are located on both sides of the corner. The line should be semicircular.
Step 5
Cut the bottom of the gypsy skirt the same way. Measure the desired length, and put the beginning of the centimeter on the line you just cut, set aside the desired length from it. Expand the skirt blank, make a side cut. Cut out exactly the same, fold them with cuts to each other, sew the resulting 2 side seams. You have a double flared sun skirt. Sew the belt to the top, and sew the bottom with a bias tape.
Step 6
The sweater of the female gypsy costume is also easy to sew. You can remake an unnecessary shirt into it. Sew a long, wide belt to the bottom. You will tie it at the waist, if the jacket is long, cut it. Do the same with the sleeve, shortening it to the elbow. Sew a shuttlecock or a flared sun piece to this place.
Step 7
Make a hip scarf in the form of a triangle. Overcast its edges, put a scarf over the skirt, tie on the left or right thigh.
Step 8
Jewelry is needed for a gypsy costume. Decorative coins or gold cardboard will work. Cut rings out of it, string them on a thread, put a monisto on your neck.

For a men's gypsy costume, sew harem pants. Pass an elastic band into the belt, and arrange the bottom in the same way. Make a shirt with wide sleeves, thread an elastic band into a narrow cuff. For a vest, cut out the parts from the main and exactly the same from the lining fabric. Sew these pieces separately, then fold the right sides of the lining and body vest and sew them together. Leave a hole at the bottom, turn the thing through it to the front side. Sew it up with a blind stitch.
