It is necessary

  • - beets;
  • - water;
  • - eggs;
  • - vinegar;
  • - pan;
  • - the spoon;
  • - knife;
  • - grater, blender or juicer.

Instructions

Step 1

With the help of beets, eggs can be painted in any shade of red, from pale pink to maroon. The shade of the eggs will depend directly on the concentration of the beet juice used, as well as the time of the procedure. There are three ways to give the eggs the desired shade, so choose the one that works best for you and start coloring.

To make the shell acquire a light reddish hue, take the beets, squeeze the juice out of it (you can use both a juicer and a regular blender or grater, squeeze the juice with gauze) and pour boiled eggs over them for an hour or two. To give the eggs a more intense color, increase the residence time of the eggs in the juice by a factor of five.

Step 2

If you need to paint eggs in a short time, for example, in an hour, then in this case, grate the beets, add water to it (the volume of water should be equal to the volume of the beets, no more) and lemon juice (about 10 ml per 100 ml of the mixture juice). Place the eggs in a container and cover them with the prepared mixture. After 30 minutes, the shell will change color. It is worth noting that in this case you can only see the result on white eggs.

Step 3

The easiest way to color eggs with beets is to boil them with this vegetable. However, the option, although simple, must take into account the fact that when boiling the eggs may burst and the egg whites will also color, which will negatively affect their appearance. If you chose this option, then take a saucepan, put peeled and coarsely chopped beets into it (300 grams of beets per liter of water), eggs and put on fire. Once the water boils, add a little 9% vinegar (a tablespoon per liter of water) and continue cooking for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow liquid to cool completely.
