There are many different techniques for painting fabric. For example, marble painting or stamping. One of the techniques for painting fabric is "shibori" (correctly "shibori"). This technique was invented in Japan. Shibori allows you to create extraordinary drawings. You don't need to be able to paint to paint fabric with this technique.

- - fabric (preferably natural);
- - a piece of plastic pipe or large beads or shells;

Instructions
Step 1
Shibori is often referred to as the knot technique. To paint fabric using this technique, you need to make many knots on the fabric using a thick thread. There are three ways to make shibori: wind the fabric to a piece of pipe, put shells or beads in the fabric and tie the fabric with a thread, and tie knots on the fabric. All three methods are simple and interesting.
Step 2
Prepare paints, pour them into jars. Mix several paint colors if necessary. The shibori cloth should be thoroughly moistened with water.
Step 3
Wrap a piece of pipe with a cloth, make folds on the fabric and fix them with a thick thread.
Step 4
Apply paint with a large brush or spray paint onto fabric (special paint sprayers are available for fabric paint).
Step 5
The fabric should be dried on the tube. After the fabric is dry, it must be removed from the pipe and ironed with an iron.
Step 6
Wrap the shells in a cloth thoroughly moistened with water and tie knots of thread on the cloth so that the shells do not fall out of the fabric. Dry the fabric, do not pull out the shells until the fabric is completely dry.
Step 7
Apply several colors of paint to the fabric. In some places the paint will mix and get a new color.
Step 8
Dry the fabric and iron it with an iron. The photo shows a viscose fabric dyed using the shibori technique, it is very dense.
Step 9
Wrap the beads in a damp cloth, tie the fabric with a thread so that the beads do not fall out.
Step 10
Apply paint to the fabric with a large brush. Dry. Do not untie the knots until the fabric is dry.
Step 11
Dry the fabric, smooth it with an iron. The photo shows a dyed excelsior (very fine silk).
Step 12
You can just tie knots on the fabric, not use shells or beads.
Step 13
Apply paint, dry. Do not untie the knots until the fabric is completely dry.
