The fishing season has started, but the boat is gone. The problem is quite frequent, but solving it is not as easy as we would like. If your desire is stronger than the difficulties facing you, then get ready to use your ingenuity and the material at hand. Choose one of the suggested ways to design a homemade boat and get started.

Step 1
Make a boat with a mattress and an engine. This is one of the most common and at the same time fun ways to construct a motorboat. You will need a large and sturdy mattress bed, as well as a small and not very heavy engine. If you have a good inflatable boat, it will do even better.
Step 2
Place a wooden base on the boat or mattress to support the motor. Make sure that no parts of the motor come into contact with the boat itself, otherwise they may tear it.
Step 3
Pick up the motor. You can buy a small version from a specialty store, or you can make one yourself. If you decide to buy, explain to the seller the peculiarity of your design so that he can help you choose an option that is both easy and convenient to mount at the same time.
Step 4
Try to make your own motor. The base can be taken from a scooter, snowmobile, moped, or even a chainsaw. The power, of course, will be small, but if you fish alone, then it is likely that you will have enough of it.
Step 5
The blade adapter can be made by yourself if you have a welding machine or at least a soldering iron. Otherwise, spare parts will have to be purchased separately.
Step 6
The blades are best made of plastic or steel, such as sheets of aluminum. Some craftsmen make it from ordinary spoons, but a chainsaw motor will probably not be enough.
Step 7
Insulate the engine. Remember that your homemade device is not intended for "water procedures", and therefore must be protected from them. Place the motor in a small waterproof bag and cut some slots for the handle and other external switches.
