Pavel Vladimirovich Zubov is a famous Russian hockey player and coach. A native of Togliatti (Samara region) and a graduate of the Soviet ice hockey school, from 2015 to 2018, he worked at HC Siberia as a coach.

Professional career as an athlete

His debut season 1991-1992. Zubov started with HC Lada, participating in the USSR Championship. After the collapse of the Soviet system, it was reorganized on the scale of the MHL (International Hockey League), in which the athlete played for his native club from 1992 to 1994. And then there was one season (1994-1995) for CSK VVS (Samara) and a return for 1995-1996. to the Togliatti "Lada". It was the hockey team of his hometown that was able to make Pavel a two-time national champion in this sport.

After leaving HC Lada, Pavel Zubov's sports career as a player was associated with the following clubs:

- Samara CSK VVS (1996-1997);

- Nizhnekamsk "Neftekhimik" (1997-1998);

- Samara CSK VVS (1998-1999); - American club Tupelo T-Rex in the Western Professional Hockey League (1999);

- Kemerovo "Energia" and Almetyevsk "Oilman" from the second league (2000-2007);

- Zhlobin Metallurg from the Belarusian Extraliga (2007-2008);

- club "Trans-Urals" (6 matches in 2008).

Immediately after completing his sports career as a player, Pavel Zubov made his debut as a coach. His first position in this field in 2008 was that of assistant head coach at Metallurg Zhlobin. Here he is in

for five seasons he was engaged in coaching on the sidelines. And in 2013 he made a career leap, becoming the head coach of this team. After that, his coaching work was associated exclusively with HC "Siberia", where he held various positions in the coaching staff:

On March 30, 2018 HC Siberia broke the contract with Pavel Zubov.
