Step 1
Cast a rod that has an inertial reel and a one-piece, compound or telescopic rod using the pendulum method. Unwind enough line so that it is slightly longer than the rod. Hold the rod in one hand and the end of the line with the hook in the other. Tilt the rod at an angle of 45-60 ° towards the cast. Release the line and at the same time gently raise and then lower the rod end. Thanks to this movement, you can throw the bait far enough.
Step 2
Cast a rod with a long enough rod and an inertial reel over your head. This method will allow you to send the lure a little further than the "pendulum method", but the total length of the cast will not exceed the sum of the lengths of the rod and line. Before throwing the rod over your head, make sure that there is no one behind you at a sufficient distance. Take the rod with one or both hands. With a smooth movement over your shoulder, take it slightly back so that the end of the line with the hook is at a distance of 1-2 m behind your back. Swing the rod quickly and smoothly in the direction of the cast (after that it should be in an almost horizontal position).
Step 3
It is possible to cast a fishing rod with an inertial reel, the rod of which is equipped with guides, by the “loop method”. Before casting, reel in enough line from the reel so that it is 2-3 times longer than the length of the rod. Successively hook the line with your finger between each of the adjacent pairs of guide rings and pull it towards the handle. Cast the rod over your head as described in the second step. However, in doing so, you need to throw off all the loops of the line from the finger approximately when the rod is in an upright position.
Step 4
Casting a fishing rod or spinning rod with a spinning reel is done in the same way. First, pull back a piece of the line and press it against the rod body with your thumb. Flip up the bobbin. Throw the rod or spinning rod over your head, raising your thumb slightly to release the line at the top of the cast. After the bait falls into the water, raise the bow and reel in the line a little.
