The design of the school canteen rests entirely on the shoulders of the leadership of the educational institution. However, it will be interesting for children to take part in it too. In labor lessons, students can make crafts that will decorate walls and furniture.

Step 1
You can arrange a school canteen by spending a minimum of money. To do this, look for talented artists among teachers or students. Or ask your art teacher to help you.
Step 2
Find beautiful food pictures in magazines or on the internet. These can be images of lunches in pre-revolutionary families or country dinners in nature. Try to paint something like this on the wall with oil paints.
Step 3
Pictures do not have to include people. Take plots from a cartoon, for example, about Winnie the Pooh or Carlson. Draw the dinner scenes of the fairy tale protagonists on the wall.
Step 4
Having decorated the walls, start decorating the dining room with accessories. Remember that there should be no breakable dishes, small and sharp parts in the room. But a large samovar will be very useful, as well as embroidered tablecloths or napkins, beautifully laid out on the shelves or hung around the perimeter. Putting them on the tables at which schoolchildren dine is not worth it. Children may spill soup or compote and ruin the delicate material.
Step 5
Ask the girls to do ikebana in labor class. Use branches, cones, artificial flowers to make them. To make the crafts meet the ambiance of the dining room, hang sweets and dryers on the stems. Expositions can be changed from time to time for new ones.
Step 6
Instruct the boys in labor class to make wooden boards for cutting food. The more figured they are, the better. Among the pupils of the elementary grades, you can hold a competition who will paint these kitchen utensils better. Put the winning works in the dining room in a place of honor, signing the names of the little artists.
