Step 1

The easiest way is to make a dice (in other words, a cube) out of paper. To do this, draw a simple unfolded cube, as shown in the figure.

Step 2

The unfolding scheme of a dice (cube) is simple. Since the cube consists of six faces of the same size - squares, we will draw them. First, draw 4 squares that have common sides, located in the same row. Next, draw 2 more squares on the sides to the second of the drawn squares. Before cutting out the diagram, you need to draw the sides along the outside of the squares so that you can then glue the cube with them.

Step 3

Prepare carefully cut out the template and bend the paper along the dotted lines (these will be the edges of the cube).

Step 4

Then, for the strength of the cube, we prepare a frame made of thin cardboard, also according to a template in accordance with the size of the cube. We will insert this frame inside the cube. Based on practical experience, it is advisable to make the frame template one millimeter smaller than the size of the cube template.

Step 5

Now we insert the finished frame inside the cube template and glue it over. The cube is ready!

Step 6

Another version of the dice (cube) is notable for the fact that it is convenient to take it with you on the road, since it can be folded and stored flat. You can print the pattern of this cube on a printer, stick it on cardboard and make a cube in the same way as in the first option (see above).

Step 7

An alternative version of the do-it-yourself cube is made from … the most ordinary school eraser! It is done very simply: cut out a cube with equal edges from the eraser and draw points from 1 to 6 on the edges.

Step 8

And finally, the cube can be glued together from two matchboxes. To do this, we shorten each box, and then glue the cube with paper.

Step 9

When making dice with your own hands, pay attention to the fact that according to the rules, the sum of points on opposite sides of a dice should always be equal to seven.
