Olga Pogodina: biography, filmography and personal life

Recognition, titles and regalia came to her thanks to dedication, perseverance and confidence that the profession was chosen correctly. Olga Stanislavovna's biography began in 1976 in Moscow. Her mother was an artist and an example for her daughter, and Olga simply could not help but follow in her footsteps.

School absences due to poor health prevented Olga from fully studying, but her mother, Lia Alexandrovna Pogodina, did everything to ensure that her daughter received a full secondary education. We can say that Olga spent her childhood in the hospital on the Arbat and at home, studying with her mother.

Remembering her childhood and adolescence, Olga says that neither at school, nor at Shchukin's school, where she later went to study, she did not develop relationships with peers and teachers. At school I had to fight, defending my rights, and in "Pike" I had to fight my way through the hostility of the artistic director of the group. However, in 1997 Olga Pogodina successfully completed her studies.

Many people remember this period as the "nineties" - a difficult and difficult time for everyone, and especially for people of creative professions. At this time, many tragic events happened in the Bobovich family (father's surname), and Olga was forced to look for any job. But she did not change her profession, although she had to appear in commercials.

At the same time, there were endless auditions at Mosfilm, exhausting and habitually unsuccessful. Without experience, without a name, connections and money, it was unrealistic to get into the cinema. Whatever the young actress did, there were no roles.

The beginning of a career in cinema

The first real role of Olga Pogodina in the film "If the bride is a witch" brought her fame. She played it for free - for the portfolio, and she was not mistaken. After this tape, suggestions from directors rained down: serials, full-length films, as well as her own ideas and projects, which she already had at that time.

After filming Echelon, Olga had the idea of creating her own studio. The bold decision was supported by the VGIK teacher and producer Vladilen Arseniev. However, for such a big business, education is needed in the first place and a lot of money in the second place. But this did not become an obstacle: having surrounded herself with textbooks on business, Pogodina began her "path to production." And friends helped with the money.

And now the studio "ODA-Film" has already been created, and the film "Hate", which was released in 2007, is already being shot there. This is a melodrama about difficult relationships and life in a small town. In the same year, the studio filmed the film "Three Days in Odessa" with Olga in the title role - she played Lida Sheremetyeva. This role required not only acting, but also the skills of a stuntman, with which the actress successfully coped.

2016 - the main role in the biographical tape "Margarita Nazarova", thanks to which the name of Olga Pogodina was recorded in the Russian Book of Records. For this role, she also received the Golden Eagle Award for Best Actress.

In 2017 the film “Vlasik. Shadow of Stalin”, where Olga played one of the main roles. In the same year she received the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation.

Personal life of Olga Pogodina

Olga's first common-law husband is actor Mikhail Dorozhkin. It was a beautiful couple, but they never officially signed, although they had been together for eight years. The complex characters of the actors did not allow for a lasting alliance, and they parted.

Olga Pogodina never flaunted her personal life, so few people knew about marriage with businessman Igor. After a few years, this relationship was also exhausted.

Now Olga Pogodina is married to journalist and producer Alexei Pimanov. They met in 2007, on the set of the film "Three Days in Odessa", which was produced by Pimanov. They were just friends for a long time, and in 2014 they got married.

Now the creative union of Pogodin-Pimanov is working on new large-scale projects.
