Instructions

Step 1

In order for the file to be cut and then glued, it must be converted to AVI format. Use VirtualDubMod to work with video files.

Step 2

In the program, open the desired video file through the menu. Hold Shift and drag the slider on the track bar to the place in the video where you want to cut the recording in half.

Step 3

If you are not satisfied with the frame, on the toolbar, press the keys to go to the next or previous keyframe and select the appropriate one. After the frame for the cut is found, release the Shift key.

Step 4

Write down the number of the frame at which you cut the video - the number is indicated in the status bar at the bottom of the video window. Place a Mark in on the selected frame, and then press the End button to go to the end of the recording and set the Mark out.

Step 5

Then press Delete - you will be left with only the first half of the video, ending with the keyframe that you selected at the beginning. Save half of the video recording in AVI format. When saving, specify the video mode "Streaming Copy" and give the recording a name.

Step 6

To select the second part of the file, open the entire video again, open the "Edit" section of the menu and select "Go to …". Specify the frame number that you recorded in the previous step and click OK.

Step 7

Put the end mark of the selection on the frame that opens, and then go to the beginning of the video and put the start point of the selection there. Delete the first half of the video, and save the second half in the same way as the first in the previous step.

Step 8

If you need the entire video again, merge it using the same program. Open the first half of the video in Virtual Dub. In the "File" menu, click "Add AVI Segment" and specify the path to the second half of the video. Save the pasted recording in the same way as above and give it a title.
