Instructions

Step 1

Launch the graphics editor Adobe Photoshop and open the required photo in it: click the File menu item, then Open (the option for faster access to this command is the Ctrl + O key combination), select the file and click Open again.

Step 2

Turn on the quick mask mode by clicking on the button (in the form of a rectangle with a circle inside), which is at the very bottom of the toolbar, or simply by pressing the Q key. Set the main color to black (D), activate the Brush tool and select such a variation, so that the painting is solid, without blurring around the edges of the cursor. This will make it more convenient for you to work.

Step 3

Paint over the foreground object. Unsuccessful areas can be painted over with white. To make it the main one, you need to press the Latin X. Despite the fact that black is the main color at the moment, the filling will be carried out with a translucent red color - this is the color of the mask, it will not affect the final result in any way.

Step 4

When finished, press Q again to exit Quick Mask mode. The background will be highlighted with "walking ants". This is the area that you will be working with in the future.

Step 5

Click Image> Adjustments> Shadows / Highlights. In the window that opens, we are interested in the "Light" area and the "Effect", "Tonal Range" and "Radius" settings located in it. Check the box next to the "View" item and rotate the sliders of these settings, trying to highlight the selected areas in accordance with your idea. After each change to any of these settings, the background will change. This may take some time depending on the hardware resources of your computer.

Step 6

If you notice any inaccuracy, you can correct it by returning to the quick mask mode (recall, it is invoked by pressing the Q key).

Step 7

To save the result, press Ctrl + Shift + S, specify a place for future work, give it a name, set the type and click "Save".
