Instructions

Step 1

Allamander is not demanding to the air temperature, it grows well at 18-26 ° C; in the winter during the dormant period - 16-18 ° С. Please note that she is afraid of drafts.

Step 2

The lighting should be bright, it is preferable to put the flower on the south window. But a western or eastern location is also suitable.

Step 3

Allamandra prefers high humidity. To do this, in the spring-summer period, spray the flower several times a day, in winter - once a week. You can install a flower pot in a tray with expanded clay and water.

Step 4

A transplant is necessary as the plant grows.

Pot requirements: voluminous, with drainage holes.

Soil requirements: moisture-consuming, light and nutritious. Mix universal soil with peat, humus and coarse river sand in a ratio of 1: 1: 1: 0.5.

Planting technology: prepare the pot, put a drainage layer in it, fill in a little soil. Remove the plant from the old pot, keeping a lump of soil, and place in a new pot. Cover the roots with soil and water liberally.

Transplant terms: young plants are transplanted annually, adult specimens - every 2-3 years.

Step 5

Top dressing is carried out every 3-4 weeks from March to October. Any complex fertilizer for indoor plants will do. The concentration of the finished liquid fertilizer should be half that recommended in the instructions.

Step 6

Prune in the fall after flowering. You can cut to half the length of the stem - this will give the plant a more decorative look and stimulate tillering.

Step 7

Allamander propagates by seeds and apical cuttings. When propagating by cuttings, the sequence of actions is as follows: cut a 10 cm long stalk from the top of the plant. Root it in the soil (peat and sand) and cover with half a plastic bottle. Ventilate daily. Successful rooting is evidenced by the appearance of leaves. After 3-4 pairs of leaves have grown, transplant the plants into separate pots.

Step 8

For seed propagation, seeds are sown at the beginning of March in a common planting tank at a distance of 3 cm from each other, superficially. Sprinkle lightly with sand and moisten with a spray bottle. Cover the planting container with plastic wrap. Air daily, water occasionally. Seedlings appear within 3-6 weeks. Remove the shelter gradually. Make a pick when 3 pairs of leaves grow on the shoot. Plant in separate pots 1-1.5 months after the pick.
