An empty glass bottle of an unusual shape for alcoholic beverages can be decorated with stained glass paints and beads and make it a wonderful addition to any interior.
It is necessary
- - empty glass bottle;
- - acrylic paints for painting on glass and ceramics;
- - contour;
- - transparent gel-based glue;
- - beads.
Instructions
Step 1
Clean the empty bottle from the label and any traces of glue. Wash in soapy water and dry. To degrease the surface, wipe it with a cotton swab dipped in gasoline.
Step 2
Sketch the drawing you want to depict on paper. It can be an image of fruits, leaves and flowers, rural landscapes, a fairytale city or abstraction. The main thing is that the drawn objects have a clear outline, in this case the drawing on the bottle will look like a real stained glass window. Sketch in life size.
Step 3
Transfer the drawing to the glass, use a special glass pencil for this. If the bottle has a wide enough neck and a simple cylindrical shape, place the sheet on which the sketch is drawn inward, straighten it out.
Step 4
Apply a special contour along the border of the objects. It is sold in art stores. Also, a stained-glass contour can be purchased in the creativity departments of a children's goods store, but it is better to give preference to a professional tool. It is made in the form of a tube with a thin applicator tip. Before applying the contour to the glass, practice on a different surface to get the line the required thickness. Leave to dry completely.
Step 5
Paint the details of the drawing with acrylics on glass and ceramics. Try not to apply color to the outline line. Mix paints to achieve the desired shades. You can also make smooth transitions from one color to another with soft strokes. Consider the fact that acrylic paints dry very quickly. Leave the paint to dry completely, follow the instructions on the package. Apply a second coat if necessary.
Step 6
Burn the bottle in the oven to make the colors last. After this treatment, the bottle can be washed with mild detergents.
Step 7
Apply a small amount of glue to some areas of the design. Sprinkle beads on them, gently press with your fingers.
