In crime chronicles, fountain pens are sometimes featured. It is clear that having a pen that fires real cartridges is both dangerous and illegal. But a homemade toy fountain pen capable of firing its own rod is harmless enough.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a fountain pen, the body of which is a hollow tube that cannot be divided into two halves. The rod of such a handle has a thickening at the beginning with a stop, with which it is fixed without the use of any additional parts. On the reverse side, the handle has a plug. In the past, such fountain pens were produced mainly by the Bic company, and therefore they are still sometimes called "Bic" pens. Today, the number of their manufacturers is in the tens. Do not use gel pens, as their tubes have too large an inner diameter.
Step 2
Remove the refill and plug from the fountain pen. Leave one tube.
Step 3
Take a rod from a regular pen. It should not have thickening. Choose a rod that is longer than the tube. If this is not possible, shorten the tube using, for example, a jigsaw or a hacksaw. Be careful.
Step 4
With a small needle file, make a hole cut in the middle of the handle. It should not be too deep so that the tube does not split in half. Remove a small chamfer from it.
Step 5
Take the rubber ring. Sets of these rings in different colors are available at office supply stores. Secure it in the kerf by tying. Fold it up so that it can be pressed against the end of the tube.
Step 6
Insert a regular shaft into the handle (no thickening). Press it against the end of the tube with a rubber ring. Now you can write with a pen like a regular one, but not too neatly, since the rod is not rigidly fixed.
Step 7
Shoot a rod from the handle in the same way as from a bow, using a rubber ring as a bowstring, and a pipe as a kind of barrel. Do not shoot people and animals, especially their eyes, or fragile and valuable objects.
Step 8
After firing, you can put the pen back into the pen and write again. When the rubber ring is worn out, replace it. After making some toy shooting pens, arrange shooting competitions with friends, say, at an old target from the game "Darts".
