Deer antlers are a traditional decoration for large hallways and offices. Once upon a time, hunters proudly hung a branchy trophy on the wall in their home. Nowadays it is not fashionable to kill animals on a hunt, moreover, to be proud of it. Such decoration of their paper turns out to be not so luxurious, but certainly a "green" element of the interior.
It is necessary
- - 2 sheets of brown cardboard or thick paper (8.5 x 11 cm);
- - thin wire;
- - wooden plank for the stand;
- - a piece of brown fur;
- - scissors, pencil, paper glue and hot glue.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw a template for the horns. The shape of a deer's antler resembles a large branch with two branches extending from the trunk, each of these branches has smaller branches, one has four, and the other has six branches. Cut the template out of a sheet of white paper.
Step 2
Fold a sheet of heavy brown paper in half lengthwise, inside out, then unfold. Place the template on one of the halves of the sheet from the inside out, so that the large arc along which the six branches are located lies along the long edge of the sheet. Transfer a large arc to the paper with a pencil.
Step 3
Apply a strip of glue along the drawn arc, bend the wire in this shape, lay it in a centimeter from the arc line (the end of the wire should protrude slightly beyond the arc line, this is necessary to secure the horns to the stand), cover with the other half of the sheet and press the wire against the paper. Do not press too hard to avoid tearing the paper.
Step 4
Place the template again, now on the front side of the folded sheet with the wire inside, keeping in mind that the wire is about one centimeter away from the edge of the large arc, and trace around the template with a pencil. Cut out the template along the translated line, erase the excess lines with an eraser. Then take the second sheet of paper and do the same.
Step 5
Attach a string loop to the back of the stand with a piece of heavy paper and glue. Select a spot on the wall and hammer in a nail to hang the horn stand on it. Miniature horns will look good, for example, over a desk or next to a small mirror.
Step 6
Bend the horns slightly to the right and left to give them a natural look. Cut off the excess wire at the base of the horns, bend 2 to 3 cm of the base to attach the horns to the stand. Hot glue them to a wooden board, and also glue a piece of brown fur between the horns.
