Figures made of plastic or clay look quite massive. They are not suitable for decorating a light, airy interior. If you want a more elegant analogue of such figurines, replace the material with wire. It will allow you to create volume, but at the same time maintain the impression of weightlessness of the object.

Instructions

Step 1

Find a photo or drawing of a deer. You will need this sample in order to determine the proportions of the future craft.

Step 2

Choose a wire. It must be tough enough to keep its shape. But not brittle and not elastic - so that the curls do not straighten out over time.

Step 3

Start with horizontal lines. From a single piece of wire "mold" the deer's spine, belly, neck and head. If you want to make a figurine that can be hung on a tree or on a wall, screw two wires for the back and front legs to the workpiece. Pay attention to their shape - closer to the body, they become wider, at the level of the knees they bend back.

Step 4

Fill the resulting contours with a fine wire mesh. Stretch pieces of wire between the opposite edges of each piece - they should be at an equal distance. Then stretch the "threads" perpendicular to them, alternately passing them under and over the meeting wires.

Step 5

A volumetric craft can be created by connecting two flat blanks of the deer outlines. To make it easier to work, fix them in pieces of plasticine on the table at a distance that corresponds to the width of the body. Connect the frames with roundly curved wires - they should wrap around the contours like ribs. Then weave the fine mesh described above between them.

Step 6

To make the structure strong, strengthen the joints of the wires. Depending on the style of the craft, choose one of the methods. Braid the crosshairs with a strong cotton thread, pulling it as tightly as possible. Then coat the winding with PVA glue, after drying it will become transparent. On a small figure, the threads can be replaced with foil, and on a large figure - with thin plates of brass. For added strength, clamp the mount with pliers.
