It is necessary

A sheet of paper, a simple pencil, an eraser, gouache, a thin, medium and large brush, water

Instructions

Step 1

Arrange the sheet of paper as you like - vertically or horizontally. You can create a drawing of one sky or with elements of a landscape. Choose one of the options. Use a simple pencil to sketch a little.

Step 2

If you will use landscape elements in your work, then outline the horizon line. Place the necessary objects on the ground - it can be mountains, a forest, a field with a lonely tree, etc. Then place in the sky a night luminary - the moon (or month - if desired). It should be noted that the night sky should occupy more than half of the sheet in such a drawing if you want to show all its beauty and focus on it. If you are drawing without landscape elements - just one sky - then sketch out the moon, some large stars and, if you wish, other planets, comets, and maybe spaceships.

Step 3

Prepare materials to work in color. Gouache works best, mixing colors, you can achieve very interesting shades of the sky. Do not use purely one black color in your work, mix it with blue, purple, emerald and others. Start filling the picture from the background, that is, from the sky. Apply paint in broad strokes, mix colors directly on the sheet, without waiting to dry. Around the night luminary, make the color slightly lighter and gradually take it into the night. Then write down the elements of the landscape, if any. Make their overall tone much darker than the sky, here you can add more black and brown.

Step 4

After the base coat has dried, apply another, but not complete. Fill the sky with the color you want, darken the top of the picture - volume will appear. Then, mixing white gouache with yellow (blue, emerald, pink) paint the moon. With bluish spots, repeat the pattern of craters on it (you can see it on the Internet). Apply the stars with dots without changing the color. There may be a different number of them, but the more there are, the more elegant the night will be. In this regard, it is better not to overdo it with the stars. You can make constellations out of them, if you wish.

Step 5

Dry the drawing and highlight the foreground of the drawing with strokes of black gouache mixed with blue. Add highlights on some objects. Touch up the sky if needed. Complement the moon and stars with some white paint. The drawing of the night sky is ready.
