Almost every fisherman dreams of his own boat. Modern watercraft differ in size and materials used in their manufacture. And, of course, the price of boats also plays an important role when choosing a product.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way to decide on the choice of a boat is for those fishermen whose house is located near the water. Usually in such places there are always craftsmen who make their craft out of wood. A vessel made of this material, treated with high-quality impregnations, will serve you faithfully for many years. You will only need to timely repair the boat and take care of it.
Step 2
You can also buy a ready-made boat made of light plastic or aluminum-magnesium alloy. A ship made of plastic will cost less, but, accordingly, it will be less durable. It is not recommended to stick to rocky shores on such a boat, as a strong blow can cause irreparable damage to your boat.
Step 3
Metal boats are more expensive but require little or no maintenance. They do not need to be painted and the material is much stronger than plastic. The size of the product you choose will depend on the body of water in which you are going to fish. If you are fishing on a small lake or pond, a boat up to 3 m long is enough for you. If you go out on a large river, choose a boat from 3.5 m.
Step 4
It is more difficult for those lovers of water walks who are forced to get to water bodies by cars, motorcycles and even bicycles. In this case, you should pay attention to inflatable boats. When folded, they can fit into a regular backpack.
Step 5
Choose a PVC boat. Rubber boats are more capricious in care and storage. Look also at the manufacturer of the product. Domestic ships are cheaper, but have fewer additional options. Foreign boats are somewhat more expensive, but you will receive an overpressure valve, anchor and other awnings in the kit.
Step 6
Look at the structure of the boat floor. The rigid floor liner is made of impregnated plywood, aluminum and plastic. The boat can also have an inflatable bottom (air-deck). Of course, you cannot take a watercraft with a hard floor on a bicycle, so make your choice based on the transportation possibilities.
Step 7
The length of the PVC boat also matters. It provides not only usable area, but also improves propulsion characteristics - such a vessel goes well to the speedboat.
Step 8
Pay attention to the transom, because this is where the motor will be attached if you need it. Reputable trusted firms attach this part with special pads to dampen vibration.
