The guitar is a six-stringed string-plucked instrument, widespread in modern music, both academic, folk and pop-jazz trends. Due to the peculiarities of the construction, it can be used for both solo, melodic parts, and accompaniment (chords and beatings). Depending on the type of guitar (acoustic, electric, semi-acoustic), there are several types of connecting the instrument to the computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Actually, you can't connect an acoustic guitar to a computer. Connect an instrument microphone to the sound card of your computer via the microphone input (the input is pink, marked with a microphone icon. It is located on the back of the system unit or on the side of the laptop).
Step 2
Open your audio editor. Put the microphone on the stand, sit on the chair with the guitar. Turn the microphone head towards the resonator and play a chord. Check the editor's response to sound. If everything is in order, start recording.
Step 3
Connect the electric guitar to your amp and effects processor. Attach the instrument microphone that was previously connected to the computer to the speaker. Check system operation and start recording.
