Step 1
In fact, this procedure is very simple. You just need a guitar cord, one end of which is connected to the musical instrument, and the other end, through an adapter from a large jack to a small one, has firmly established contact with the computer.
If the question arises - "where exactly do you need to stick this jack?", Then you can find the answer yourself by looking at the back side of the system unit of your computer. As you can see, the sound card has two holes of different colors - green and pink. As we know, the green jack is used to output audio information to external devices, that is, speakers, headphones, etc. Therefore, connecting a cord with an electric guitar at the other end is clearly not worth it.
Step 2
But next to the green hole, we see pink. This port is used to input audio information into a computer through external devices - that is, microphones. This is where we will load the jack of the cord. A prompt on the desktop will let us know that the connection was successful. There are no problems in the operation of the device, and thus we got what we wanted - we connected the electric guitar to the computer.
However, another question comes up - "Well, they connected it, and so what? What should we do with it now?"

And you can do whatever your heart desires. It is possible, by toggling several checkboxes in the audio system settings, to make the guitar sound through the speakers, as if we were playing not on a switched off instrument, but on a simple combo amplifier. True, there is a possibility of burning out the sound card, since it is not designed for such tests.
You can record the sound you play with your guitar. There are many programs for this, ranging from the simplest "sound recording" function in the standard windows operating system, to more advanced editing programs such as FL Studio or Sony SoundForge. At this point, as they say, who is good for what. Now it all depends on your imagination.
