Sound recording is an important stage both in the formation of the group as a whole and in the fate of a particular piece. Fortunately, the modern music industry allows you to record a composition of any style and any instrumental ensemble.

Step 1
Find a recording studio. There are a lot of them now, so first select a few options. It is best to ask fellow musicians with recording experience for studio names, addresses, and websites. Do not hesitate to inquire about studio prices, quality, personal opinion of musicians. The sound engineer’s communication with customers also matters.
Step 2
Agree with the administrator of the selected studio about the date and time (in hours) of recording. Payment for the recording is usually made by the hour, the cost of additional services (mixing, arrangement, mastering) is calculated separately. Whatever the total amount, before grabbing your heart, divide it by the number of participants in the group. That is how much each musician participating in the recording will have to pay.
Step 3
Learn the parts by heart, but take notes anyway for recording. It is better not to be late for the session, since the lost time will still have to be paid for. It doesn't make sense for all the musicians to come at the same time. The most logical order is drummer, bassist, rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist, keyboardist, other instrumentalists (flutist, violinist), then back vocalists and front vocalist. If you are stretching the recording over two days, there is no need for the already recorded musicians to come the next day. Likewise, those who will write on the second day.
Step 4
The stage of mixing and processing the recorded sound depends solely on the sound engineer, so for this time take it easy and wait for the recording to be presented to you in finished form.
