A kitten named Woof is a cute cartoon character. A kitten is easy to draw, even for those who are not particularly good at using pencil and paints. You can draw it in pencil technique, work with pastels, watercolors or gouache.
How to draw the head and muzzle
Start with a pencil sketch. Attach a piece of paper to the tablet and select a location for your drawing. A kitten named Woof should have appropriate proportions - a rather large head with large ears and a miniature body with a short tail.
Draw a circle slightly flattened horizontally - a sketch of the future head. Place it at a slight angle - you get a modest head tilt characteristic of a cartoon kitten. Draw large, triangular ears at the top of the circle. On the right side of each, draw along the line that marks the back of the ears. In the center of the main circle, sketch out another, somewhat smaller, kitten's face.
Mark the smaller circle with two perpendicular lines crossing towards the bottom. The intersection of the lines will become the center of the kitten's face.
Follow all auxiliary lines with a sharpened hard pencil - it applies very light strokes that can be easily erased with an eraser.
At the intersection of the lines, mark a black elongated point - the nose. Place the eyes in the form of semi-ovals near the nose - their lower border should be located on the horizontal marking line. Draw a large black pupil in the center of each eye. Shade it well with a soft pencil, and then use the corner of the eraser to mark a white highlight.
Draw a mouth under the nose in the form of two connected brackets - it should form a "smile". Mark three short mustaches on each side. Trace the outlines of the head with a soft pencil. Try to give the muzzle the expression typical of a kitten named Woof - modest and a little sly.
Completing the drawing
Start drawing the kitten's body. Draw a small, elongated triangle under the head. Bend it to one side - the convex side will become the back. In its lower part, mark a thin and short pointed tail. On the opposite side, mark two parallel lines - straightened front legs drawn together.
If you want to color the kitten with crayons or watercolors, make the body beige and the dark markings brown.
Outline the kitten's body with a soft pencil and start shading. A kitten named Woof has a color-point color - dark spots on a light background. Carefully shade the back of the ears, muzzle and tail. Draw two small vertical ovals on the legs and paint over them too. For more uniformity, the strokes can be lightly rubbed with a small piece of paper. Erase the extra construction lines with an eraser. The drawing is ready.
