If you dream of a crowd of fans and spotlights, if you want to smash a guitar on stage and jump into the crowd, then you have a long and difficult journey as a music star. One of the first steps is to create your own group.
Decide on the composition of the group. It's good if you already have a company of like-minded people who own the right musical instruments. For a beginner group, this is the most ideal option.
If you don't have such friends, you will have to find the right musicians yourself. Post your ad on social media and message boards. Job seekers will be found almost immediately. The main selection criterion is the availability of a musical instrument and performance experience. However, you can be guided by personal preference.
Rehearsal area
Paid rehearsal centers can be found in almost every city. They offer equipment and premises for rent. In addition, the instruments and sound will already be tuned. Perhaps this is the most convenient option for a beginner group. The main disadvantage is high costs. At the beginning of the group's existence, 1-2 rehearsals per week will be enough, but then as they grow, their number will have to be increased.
If you do not have enough money, or you just do not intend to use someone else's help, you can pick up free options. The easiest way is to ask the school or institute to provide you with a place for rehearsals. However, the administration may ask you to play in some seventh-grader or government commission in return. Therefore, it is better to memorize a couple of common songs right away.
Rehearsals
In the beginning, it is better to replay the songs of other artists. So the composition of the group can play with each other, and also reveal its strengths and weaknesses. Learn at least 5 of these songs before you start writing your own. Even if you have been playing for more than one year, do not neglect this advice. Replaying other people's songs will allow any musician to gain skill.
In addition to rehearsing with the whole group, rehearse at home. Level up constantly and ask the rest of the participants to do the same. Otherwise, you will hardly be able to see the crowd of fans anytime soon. Learn the theoretical basis for making music. It is good if you have a musical education, otherwise buy music books and study them regularly.
A vocalist needs to practice solfeggio and constantly develop his voice. Guitarists can download the GuitarPro program and use it to practice various melodies. It is best to select the melody by ear, it will bring more pleasure and experience. Drummers will have a harder time. It is quite difficult to learn this skill on your own, so it is better to study with a teacher for a couple of months, and only then proceed to practice the "beats" on your own.
Organization
The group definitely needs a leader. He must constantly gather people for rehearsals, monitor the learning process, identify and point out mistakes. The first time after creating a group, you will probably have fun. However, then problems will begin: someone will simply stop coming to rehearsals, while someone will noticeably increase their level and want to go to another group. Therefore, the group must be constantly monitored. Sometimes harshness is required, sometimes, on the contrary, a sincere conversation. But someone has to do it. If not you, then any other member of the group.
