Knitting is perhaps the most common needlework method. The quality and appearance of the knitted product depends on a well-made typesetting row and the main types of loops.
It is necessary
- - knitting needles;
- - Knitting.
Instructions
Step 1
Knitting of products begins with a set of loops. To cast on loops, put a working thread on the index finger of your left hand, pick it up from below, turn the knitting needles counterclockwise and put the resulting loop over your thumb. Connect both strands, place them in the middle of your palm and press down with three fingers of your left hand.
Step 2
Take two knitting needles in your right hand, insert the knitting needles into the loop on the thumb from bottom to top, grab the thread, insert it into the loop and tighten the knot. The first loop was made on the needles. Without removing the threads from your finger, turn your palm towards you and make a second loop. To do this, bring the needles under the thread on the thumb again, then grab the thread from above on the index finger, pull it into the loop and tighten the knot on the needles. This is the second loop. The rest of the loops need to be knitted in a similar order.
Step 3
Edge loop. We remove the first loop of the dialed row, this is how the initial edge loop of the row is obtained. To get an edge loop at the end of the row, knit the last dialed loop with purl stitch. When starting a new row, always remove the hem loop without knitting.
Step 4
Purl loop. When knitting with purl loops, remove the hem loop from the left knitting needle and transfer it to the right knitting needle. Then place the working thread on the left knitting needle. Insert the right knitting needle into the loop, from right to left, grab the working thread and pull it into the loop, the thread should always be in front of the left knitting needle when working. After that, leave a new loop on the right knitting needle, and remove the knitted loop from the left one and so knit all the loops to the end of the row.
Step 5
To knit a row with front loops, take a knitting needle with already dialed loops in your left hand, and a working needle in your right. Throw the working thread over the index finger of your left hand, insert the working needle into the loop under the front wall, grab the thread from the index finger and pull it into the loop. Leave the resulting loop on the right knitting needle. Knit all other loops in the same way.
Step 6
Crossed front loop. Insert the needle behind the back of the buttonhole, grab the working thread and pull it out. Transfer the resulting crossed knit stitch to the right knitting needle.
Step 7
Purl crossed loop. The thread must be in front of work. Bring the needle to the back of the buttonhole, grab the working thread and pull it out. Transfer the resulting purl crossed loop to the right knitting needle.
Step 8
Extended loop. Remove the loop with the right knitting needle without knitting. When removing the front elongated loop, place the working thread in front of the fabric, and when removing the purl elongated loop, place the working thread behind the fabric.
