Lika Star is the first Russian female DJ, popular singer and music producer. By now, she has left the stage and is developing her own business. The former artist is married to Italian entrepreneur Angelo Seci.
Biography and creativity
Lika Star (real name - Angelica Pavlova) was born in 1973 in the Lithuanian city of Vilnius. Her father, Oleg Vladimirovich Pavlov, who has a director's education, as well as experience in journalism, had a great influence on the worldview of the future artist. On his advice, Lika entered a linguistic school, after which she wanted to study at MGIMO, but soon changed her plans.
At one time, Lika was fond of sports and even managed to win the title of master of sports in swimming. When the girl was 15 years old, her father suddenly died. She had to look for sources of consolation in the grief she had experienced, and music became the main one. Lika met the famous Russian DJ Vladimir Fonarev, who worked under the pseudonym DJ Fonar. It was he who showed her how to use the remote control. The hobby quickly grew into a profession, making Lika the first female DJ in Russia.
The aspiring artist moved to Moscow, where she began to collaborate with producer Sergei Obukhov. Soon Leakey's first single "BBC Taxi" was released, which became a real hit. It was followed by a full-length album called "Lika Rap". In 1994, a rather frank video for the song "Let the rain pass" began to be broadcast on television. At the same time, the singer starred in several candid photo shoots, which made her one of the sex symbols of the 90s.
The artist's next works came out under the pseudonym Lika Star. She presented to the public the next album "Fallen Angel". In the same period, Alla Pugacheva became interested in the girl, who even decided to make her her successor on stage, but Lika politely refused. She worked hard on her third album, "More than Love", which was released in 1996. The singer also released a video for the song "Lonely Moon", in which several stars of Russian cinema starred at once.
The decline of Leakey Star's stage career came at the end of the 90s. Gradually, the singer was overgrown with not the most pleasant rumors. After that, she decided to take a short break and started producing young stars, opening the company "AS Studio". Lika Star managed to cooperate with foreign stars: she has several joint works with the British group "Apollo 440". In the early 2000s, the singer took part in the TV show "The Last Hero" and starred in the clips of several musicians. The release of the last album "I" took place in 2001.
Personal life
Lika Star's first romantic relationship is credited with DJ Vladimir Fonarev. The couple was really in a romantic relationship, but chose to leave. At the beginning of her career in the Russian capital, Lika met the entrepreneur Alexei Mamontov. They lived in a civil marriage, and in 1995 the singer gave birth to a son, Artemy. The relationship broke up after Alexei got involved with criminals and became a threat to his own family.
There were rumors that Vladimir Presnyakov was courting Lika Star. It was through him that she met Alla Pugacheva. Also, at different times, the artist was credited with novels with Ilya Lagutenko and even Bogdan Titomir. At the end of her musical career, Lika found happiness in the person of an entrepreneur from Italy, Angelo Seci. They got married and moved to Sardinia. In 2004, they had a daughter, Allegrina, and in 2011, a son, Mark.
