The ancient oriental art of origami is a great way to spend your free time with benefit by making paper crafts as a gift to loved ones or for home collection. One of the most beautiful paper products is the rose.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a sheet of heavy paper and fold back about a quarter of it. Turn the sheet over and gently fold the edge inward, which will be on the side opposite to you. Pinch the upper left corner of the sheet between your middle and forefinger. There are also methods of holding the workpiece between the middle and ring fingers or ring and little fingers to adjust the size of the bud.
Step 2
Wrap the paper slowly and slowly around your fingers, making sure that the folded side of the sheet stays out. Roll the paper tightly around your fingers, but not too tightly, otherwise it will be difficult for you to shape the rose petals later.
Step 3
Fold the bottom corner of the sheet inward and to the right. Squeeze the paper with your right hand just below the area fixed with the fingers of your right hand, and begin to separate the rosebud from the stem. Continue rolling down the stem of the rose from this point until you reach the end of the paper sheet you are using.
Step 4
Twist the middle of the bud you formed a little and gently fold down the outer petal to give the paper rose the most natural and elegant look. Observe the necessary proportions and carefully monitor each step, trying to make the flower look as similar to the real one as possible.
Step 5
Proceed to curling the stem by rolling the paper into a thin tube. In this case, you can add a leaf to the stem to give the rose a more interesting look: for this, twist the stem of the rose not to the very end, but only halfway. Then take the outer bottom corner of the paper and fold it up to shape it into a rose leaf. Once you've made the leaf, twist the stem all the way down and complete the process of creating the rose. If you made the craft not from colored paper or cardboard, paint it with bright felt-tip pens or pencils to make it as close as possible to the real one.
