Step 1
To master this technique, cast an arbitrary number of loops on the knitting needles and knit several rows of hosiery or garter stitch. If you are just learning to knit, try knitting two stitches together with the front one. Remove the edging. Insert the right knitting needle into the buttonhole in the same way as for a regular knit needle. Do not remove it and do not touch the working thread yet, but insert the knitting needle into the next loop. Grab the working thread, bring the resulting loop to you through the previous two. Drop the previous stitches. Having knitted a row in this way, you will make sure that you have half the number of loops left on the knitting needle than you had before. This technique can be very useful when knitting, for example, hats.
Step 2
Practice knitting two purl stitches. Remove the hem and thread the working thread onto the left knitting needle next to the next stitch. Pass the right knitting needle under the working thread into the adjacent loop, then into the next one and grab the thread. Pull a new loop through the two on the knitting needle and the thrown-in thread. Drop the loops. In the same way, three or more loops are knitted together. The working thread is pulled through the appropriate number of loops.
Step 3
In some patterns, the loops are knitted together before or after the crochet. This is usually seen on the diagram or indicated in the description. If you need to perform this technique before the crochet, do it in the same way as in the described method. When they follow the yarn, cast a working thread over the right knitting needle, then run that knitting needle into the next 2 stitches, pull the yarn through them and drop these 2 stitches without touching the yarn.
Step 4
To make the "bump" pattern, like other similar ones, several are knitted from one loop in one row. As a rule, these are three or five loops, but there can be two or four. The number of loops increases significantly, and it decreases in the next row. Turning the work over, at the place of each addition, knit all the dialed loops together.
Step 5
When knitting raglan, the loops thus descend along the edge. Tie the shelf or sleeve to the desired height. At the beginning of the front row, remove the hem, knit 1 loop of the front, then 2 loops together with the purl and 1 more loop with the purl. This will make it possible to make the raglan line more decorative. It is necessary to sew such products with a knitted herringbone stitch.
Step 6
Much less often, another method of performing two loops together is used. Remove the edging. Slide the right needle into the first stitch, grab the second and pull it out, dropping the first. This option is used in some patterns, as well as when closing loops.
