Airbrushing today is a fashionable art movement that is widely used in the decoration of cars, laptops, home appliances, furniture and more. Learning to paint using the airbrushing technique is a matter of practice, and if you already have basic drawing skills with familiar tools (pencil, paints, brushes), and you know the basic principles of painting, you will easily master airbrushing.
Instructions
Step 1
To get started, master the simple steps that you can perform with an airbrush to get used to the unusual tool, and then move on to more complex drawings and effects. Find quality and interesting lessons online, in both text and video, and practice with step-by-step exercises. Consider other people's airbrushed paintings and try to understand the technical nuances that they contain.
Step 2
At first it may seem to you that you cannot cope with an unusual airbrush - but after a while you will get used to it, get your hand and learn how to make clear and beautiful lines, varying their direction and thickness.
Step 3
Practice making simple drawings by holding the airbrush in the air with a steady hand and not shaking it. Never touch the drawing with the airbrush needle, and practice controlling the flow of paint - if you apply too much paint, it will start to leak and can ruin your drawing.
Step 4
Do not apply air and paint at the same time - first press the air button, and then start to feed the paint at the same time as you move your hand to get a smooth line. Keep the air button depressed, do not release it.
Step 5
Turn the paint supply on and off at the same time in accordance with the drawing - make lines and strokes of the desired size and color. Start learning by drawing simple lines and only then go directly to the drawings.
Step 6
Learn to hit correctly with a stream of paint, applying the desired fragments of the drawing exactly where they should be. Draw as often and as much as possible to get used to the technique of airbrushing and learn how to intuitively draw dots and lines in the right places.
Step 7
To draw a wide line with a gentle stretch, move the airbrush away from the drawing surface and draw a line. The further the airbrush is from the surface, the wider the line will be. Practice making lines that are clearer and thinner, and then wider and more diffuse. This will help improve the technique and not be afraid to paint on other people's interior items and cars in the future. Having mastered drawing several types of basic lines, you can create any drawing.
