The desktop should not only be properly organized, but also attractively designed. The preset collection of background images is not very large. You can easily find millions of ready-made wallpapers on the web. But if they do not suit you, you can design the desktop yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Start a graphics editor and create a new canvas or open the file you need for editing. Resize the canvas to match the aspect ratio of your display. To do this, check what screen resolution you are currently using. If the scale of the wallpaper is not selected correctly, the image may be distorted, and artifacts will become noticeable on a too small picture when enlarged.
Step 2
Open the "Control Panel" via the "Start" button. In the Appearance and Themes category, select the Display component. Alternatively, right-click anywhere on the screen and select Properties from the context menu. A new dialog box will open. Go to the "Settings" tab and check what value is in the "Screen Resolution" group. It is this size in pixels that your wallpaper should be in order to display in the best quality.
Step 3
What exactly will be depicted on your wallpaper is up to you. Choose a subject and color palette that won't distract or annoy you. Keep in mind that shortcuts to programs and folders will be located on top of the picture. They must be clearly visible in the background. Also remember that a certain area of the image may be hidden under the taskbar.

Save the finished picture in.bmp,.
Step 5
To replace the existing desktop wallpaper with your own, call the "Display" component again in any way convenient for you and open the "Desktop" tab. Click the "Browse" button and specify the path to the saved image. Evaluate the result on the model and confirm your choice with the "Apply" button.
Step 6
If you have been customizing the look of the desktop for a long time, changed the background, wallpaper and system icons, you may want to save these settings. Open the "Theme" tab and click on the "Save" button, specify a suitable directory for storing the file. If you run into problems in the future, you can always restore your theme by downloading it from the same tab.
